Should my small business upgrade to Windows 10?Kelly
Windows 10 builds on Windows 8’s base, offering desktop improvements and extra security features.
Should I upgrade?
Microsoft claim that Windows 10 is the last major release of Windows, because with Windows 10 you will get your updates and upgrades automatically, for free, for the lifetime of the device it is installed on.
Windows 10 returns to the start menu that wasn’t present in Windows 8. It does have touch screen tiles on it by default, but you can remove these if you wish.
You can go back to your old system if you don’t like Windows 10. If you install Windows 10, try it out and decide that you don’t like it, you can roll back to your old operating system.
Microsoft have removed the problematic Internet Explorer from Windows 10 instead providing a brand new web browser called “Edge”. Edge is more closely aligned with the latest web technology and is more compatible with Cashflow Manager Cloud than its predecessor.
When you sign up for the upgrade you will get a report that lists any programs or devices that may not work properly with Windows 10. Cashflow Manager 9.03 has been successfully tested on Windows 10 and you should not encounter any issues with the upgrade.
If you decide to do the upgrade make sure you back up all your data first. While the upgrade process should not erase any of your personal files it is always a good idea to have a back up. You should back up to an external hard drive away from your computer such as a USB, external hard drive or Internet based storage solution.
